Restitutionalized (Playable Teaser)

Restitutionalized is a game about a teenager who finds herself in a special psychiatric facility where the patient's mental state is projected onto reality. This Playable Teaser is intended to give players a sense of what a finalized "Restitutionalized" may look like, as it contains rough versions of all the major mechanics. A full version of the game would include "boss" fights, more story and lore, more complex character interactions, many many more characters, and sprawling, choice based gameplay that would result in many endings.

Any and all similarities to real people or real event are purely coincidental. Some subject matter is alluded to in this teaser which I hope to someday develop on further if given the opportunity to turn Restitutionalized into the game of my dreams.

The game features full key-rebinding, accessibility settings, controller support, and TWO text languages (English and Spanish). We are also including Mac and Linux builds, which I have no way of testing, so please reach out and let me know if these work, or if there's any content in these builds of the game that is unintended.
